Our schoolgirls team suffered a shock defeat this morning when despite dominating long periods of the game, they came out on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline, falling to their first league defeat of the season. Emer Roche put our girls ahead early in the first half but St Leonards were quickly back on level terms and the game remained like that until the break. Tombrack enjoyed most of the possession in the second half as they went in search of a winner but disaster struck when the visitors broke and scored and then defended strongly to hold on for the three points.
Despite this defeat, our girls remain in second place and with three games remaining, their league ambitions are still in their own hands
