A controversial penalty early in the game set Ferns on the way to victory in the first of this seasons derbies between the two clubs. In a hard fought encounter, both sides battled hard but it was Ferns who looked most comfortable in front of goal and went 2-0 ahead before Eoin Carton pulled one back for Tombrack near the end. However, Ferns held on for a very important three points and move up the table as Tombrack remain in the bottom two but with several games in hand

The women's team recorded their fifth win in a row and remain joint top of the division after this hard earned 2-0 win over a battling St Cormacs side. A goal from Kelli Maguire put Tombrack 1-0 up midway through the first half with Mary Boland, Sarah Merrigan and Sharon Walsh all going close as well. St Cormacs hit the post midway through the second half but a goal from Tammy Hennessy wrapped up the points with seven minutes left. It was a game of missed chances for Tombrack but St Cormacs worked hard throughout the game but Marie Allen, Mary Martin, Tia Byrne and goalscorer Kelli Maguire were all outstanding for Tombrack
