Overall good weekend for the club

Under Ten Schoolgirls Division One
Wexford Youths 2 Tombrack United 0
Our Under Ten girls put an immensely strong battle against cup finalists Wexford Youths before eventually going down 2-0 and missing out on their chance to finish second. The home side scored early and that dictated the game as Tombrack had to come in search of an equaliser which they were unlucky not to get and Youths wrapped up the three points with a second goal near the end. This Tombrack under ten team has competed well all season and can now finish off the season on a high when they take on Fastnet Rovers in Ballyboy next Saturday

Wexford Football League Division One
St Leonards 2 Tombrack United 3
Our men's first team collected another vital three points in their battle against relegation when they came from behind to overcome St Leonards in Ballycullane. The home side led 2-1 at half time with Eoin Carton continuing his good scoring run with a goal midway through the half. A second half Bob Newe penalty brought the sides level and Eoin scored again to give Tombrack a vital win. They now take on Forth Celtic in Tombrack on Wednesday evening followed by a home game against St Leonards next Sunday

Wexford Football League Division Four A Play Off
Tombrack United 2 Boolavogue United 2 (after extra time)
Tombrack won 5-4 on penalties
The men's second team ended their season on a high when they overcame Boolavogue United on penalties after coming from behind twice to earn promotion for the second season in a row. in a lack lustre first half, Boolavogue took the lead after Tombrack had failed to take their chances in front of goal but early in the second half, John Ryan scored to bring the sides level. Boolavogue went ahead again just on the hour mark but some good periods of play from Tombrack saw John Ryan score his second late in the game to bring the game to extra time. No further goals saw the game go to penalties where keeper Eoghan Murphy saved one and John Ryan rounded off a great day by scoring what proved to be the winning penalty.
Well done to John Brownrigg and everyone involved in working hard at the end of the season to earn a play off and eventually win promotion to Division Four. Enjoy the celebrations !!!

Wexford Women's League Division Three
Tombrack United 2 Fastnet Rovers 0
The Women completed their season when a hard working eleven players overcame a dogged Fastnet side who worked hard up to the final whistle. Eleven wins and a draw from their twelve games saw the team go the season unbeaten but more impressively they scored 37 goals and conceded just 2 in those games. Mary Boland gave them the lead in this game after twenty minutes but Tombrack had to defend strongly to keep Fastnet from getting back on level terms with the back four and keeper all working very hard. The second half saw Tombrack up the intensity as the visitors began to struggle with fitness and injuries but it was two minutes from the end before Shannon McGovern crossed for Leanne Kenny to score the insurance goal. The Women must now prepare for their Divisional Cup final when they will take on Stoney LFC on April 30th at a venue to be confirmed

Squad: Ashling Kavanagh, Mary Martin, Breda Cushen, Sarah Merrigan, Tia Byrne, Marie Allen, Mary Boland, Kelli Maguire, Chloe Hayden Doyle, Shannon McGovern, Leanne Kenny
